School Assemblies/Performances: "ORIGINS of Hip Hop"
An Educational Journey Through the Cultural History of American Street Dance.
Assemblies/performances demonstrate streetdance foundation, lively choreography, and the history of hip hop dance culture through a mixture of lecture & demonstration. This show inspires self-efficacy in our students and provides a new perspective on the impact arts can have in their communities.

School Residencies Program
As an official LAUSD vendor, Versa-Style has partnered with several K-12 schools all across LA county in the past 10+ years. Serving over 5,000 students a year, Versa-Style brings quality teaching artists into the classroom. We introduce various street dance forms into the curriculum and use VAPA standards to cultivate self-efficacy into the students through community-building experiences. We offer both in-school and after-school classes.

Dance Workshops
Versa-Style teaching artists will facilitate cultural exchange in the classroom using VAPA standards that emphasize SEL, skill building and story telling. Students will learn the foundation and technique of Hip Hop social dances as well as other various street dance forms and will learn the history behind these dances. We offer in-school and after-school workshops.
