Versa-Style Next Generation Program

Versa-Style Next Generation (VSNG) is a pre-professional training program that brings together dedicated young dancers from across the Los Angeles area to develop their artistry, technique, and leadership through authentic Hip Hop and Street Dance education.

Students receive high-quality training in Hip Hop, House, Popping, Locking, and other Street Dance styles while immersing themselves in the history, culture, and values that shape these art forms. Through weekly classes, dance intensives, performances, community events, mentorship, and other enriching experiences, participants build meaningful connections to both their local and the global Hip Hop and Street Dance community.

Each student receives personalized instruction and mentorship from Versa-Style Teaching Artists and Company Movement Artists, fostering technical growth, artistic expression, cultural understanding, and the confidence to become the next generation of leaders in the Street Dance community.

Are You The Next Generation?

Participation in VSNG happens through a yearly audition process that’s part of a one-week Summer Intensive where students are immersed in the Versa-Style Hip Hop Dance curriculum. However, students who show high levels of dedication and growth at the Friday Dance Classes may be offered the opportunity to join the next generation upon individual evaluation.

Member requirements are as follows:

  • Age range of 15-22
  • Plans/interest in pursuing post-secondary education or professional work as a dancer
  • Weekly attendance at the Friday Night Dance Classes
  • Weekly attendance at Sunday rehearsals
  • Participation in Versa-Style Street Dance community events
  • Nominal monthly tuition fee
